What was Sajid thinking while making Himmatwala, was he making a biopic ode to Jeetendra

What was Sajid thinking while making Himmatwala, was he making a biopic ode to Jeetendra
Only Sajid know what he was doing while making the film Himmatwala.  Panned by critics from all over India, this film is sure to bite the dust.  A Newspaper even said that Sajid didn't have balls to tag the movie as a Sajid Khan Film because you cannot call this hodge podge movie a film.

The comedy fails to evoke laughs, the villians look rather squeamish.  Only saving grace is Ajay and Tammanah.  Ajay lives upto his character or what ever that is.  Tammanah has potential only if she avoid films like these in future.

Mahesh Manjrekar and Paresh Rawal are thoroughly wasted in the film nor their characters are faintly comic.   Farhan copied Don with Shahrukh but he gave a distinct identity to the character of Don and set the film in today's world with flashy cars, babes et al.  The greatest mistake Sajid did was to set the film in 1980s.  Often called the worst decade for Bollywood in terms of creativity, if Sajid had just borrowed the idea and adapted it into 2013, the film would have mustered some audience at the theatres but who would want to watch a 1980s film in a new avatar.

It would take real himmat to watch the Himmatwala.

When will Vashu Bhagnani stop wasting money? The week ahead

Rangrezz

Vashu Bhagnani is hell bent on making a star out of his son, only this time he has taken the services of Priyadarshan to direct Rangrezz.  The original movie in Tamil has already been made in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali.  Though it proved to be a hit in almost all languages, hindi cinema is a different ball game all together.

Kai Po Che, an failed experiment and the films coming this friends

Kai Po Che, an failed experiment and the films coming this friends

Abhishek Kapoor's honest attempt with Kai Po Che is praiseworthy but as a whole his experiment with continuing the Rock On!! legacy has failed.  The film based on friendship, politics, cricket and religion may have all the basic ingredients of a block buster but Abhishek has't been able to weave the same kind of magic he did with Rock On!!.

David, The Bar tender had many expectations from Bijoy Nambiar. But Bijoy's head and body seems to be in taken over by 'Shaitan' literally.
