Chasme Baddoor two films at the same time a new record for Bollywood

Chasme Baddoor two films at the same time a new record for Bollywood
Those who have seen the original from Sai Paranajpe will no doubt recollect a sweet innocent love story and a satire on friendship.  Sai's Chasme Buddoor had no stars in it save Amitabh Bacchan in a guest role yet it went on to be a superhit and is often called a cult classic.  David Dhawan has taken the creativity ahead and released a new Chasme Baddoor with Ali Zafar, Divyendu Sharma, Siddharth, Taapse Pannu.

The bar tender has reservations about the loss of collective intellect and creativity in bollywood but one thing is for sure, the bar tender would not wish to loose a chance to view both the films with a different perspective.  The original film was released in 1981 and the new one is releasing in 2013, so it would be quite fantastic to see the changes we have had in bollywood during this 30 years from the directors point of view.  We may also get to see a perspective on morality from our parents point of view.  Not often do you see such a fight in the ring when two films vie for the box office having the same story and name.

David Dhawan is a past master in comedy films but has lost his touch.  His last successful film was partner which starred Salman Khan.  Critics have already panned the film as a insult to the original but as the bar tender feels this may be a unique fight of old versus new.

So bar tender advises you to watch both the films back to back and arrive at a suitable judgement.  See you on Monday with a post release review.
