Coming this Friday Aashiqui 2 from the Mahesh Bhatt stable, will it shine like its first counterpart
After super duper films from the start of Feb, 2013, this Friday is going to be a lull because only one film is releasing on that day. The Vishesh Films banner has tried to encash the popularity of its old hit Aashiqui starring Rahul Roy by releasing a film with similar name.
Aashiqui as you remember was and is the only film in India to have succeeded on the strength of its songs. Story wise the film was a dumb one but the melodious songs went on to make it a big hit. However Mohit Suri is helming the second version of Aashiqui and the songs don't look or seem that melodious.
The trailor shown on youtube just make you sure that this is a rehashed version of yester years Abhimaan starring Amitabh and Jaya in the lead. Well that film was a classic but the bar tender feels that this film wont weave the magic of Aashiqui Part 1.
If you are bored this weekend better go to watch the films released earlier like Jolly LLB, Nautanki Saala or Commando

Its raining good movies after Nautanki Saala another must watch Ek Thi Daayan from Kannan Iyer
The team of Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj seems to have hit a jackpot with Ek Thi Daayan. Not only the film is good but also the cimematography by Saurabh Goswami is mind blowing.

You must have heard the song "Chakku Churiya Tez Karalo" from Zanzeer where Jaya sings the song while sharpening a knife. Many people life depends on this ancient art of India where you get your knives and scissors sharpened by a mobile road side Knife sharperner.

Chasme Baddoor two films at the same time a new record for Bollywood
Those who have seen the original from Sai Paranajpe will no doubt recollect a sweet innocent love story and a satire on friendship. Sai's Chasme Buddoor had no stars in it save Amitabh Bacchan in a guest role yet it went on to be a superhit and is often called a cult classic. David Dhawan has taken the creativity ahead and released a new Chasme Baddoor with Ali Zafar, Divyendu Sharma, Siddharth, Taapse Pannu.
